Ok! I have decided to join the blogging community and give it a try. I have never kept a journal and while I don't really have anything grand to say, I do feel like my kids give me an endless supply of material on a daily basis. Therefore, this blog is probably going to be mostly about them. Peyton is 2 1/2 and it seems like his brain never stops. He talks from the time his eyes open until the time his eyes shut. He is constantly doing or saying something funny, so I am sure you will gain a vast knowledge of him during this process. Parker is 7 months and is just so much fun. She has been a much loved addition to our family and has such a sweet and fun personality. She has begun to "explore" Peyton, which basically means that she has discovered the wonderful world of pulling his hair, shirt, or anything else she can get her hands on. Peyton has discovered that the world of parenting is not in his favor and has let me know on more than one occasion that Parker needs a spanking. I shouldn't, but I still find it surprising that a two year old has the intuition to figure out that he is getting spankings and she is not and that something is just not quite right about that. However, on the other side of this is that he loves her so much and really wants her to feel safe. The other day we were driving to a friends house and Parker was crying because it was getting close to her nap. He looks over at her an in the kindest voice that I have ever heard out of a two year old says "Don't worry Parker, I right here". Have you ever heard anything sweeter?!? Well, I am going to end on that very sweet note. I hope that through this blog you will gain a greater insight into our lives and maybe have a few laughs along the way.
